Social Scheduler Overview
What the Social Scheduler is, which platforms it supports, and how the pieces fit together.
What the Social Scheduler is
The Social Scheduler lets you plan, customize, and publish posts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn from one place — instead of switching between five different apps. Upload a photo or video once, write a shared caption, then fine-tune it per channel before it goes out.
It lives at Schedule in the left sidebar.
Key concepts
Channels are the individual social accounts you've connected — for example, your clinic's Instagram Business account or your YouTube channel. You can connect more than one account per platform if you manage multiple locations or brands.
A post is one piece of content (an image or video) plus a caption, optionally sent to several channels at once. Each channel gets its own copy of the post with its own settings — you can send a Reel to Facebook and a Story to Instagram from the same upload, in the same post. Photos and videos up to 500 MB are supported.
Repurposing turns any existing post into the starting point for a brand-new one — same media and caption, a different channel and format, its own independent schedule. It's the fastest way to get one piece of content working across every platform instead of rebuilding each version from scratch. See Repurposing a post for the full walkthrough.
Drafts, scheduled, and published describe where a post is in its lifecycle:
- Draft — saved but not scheduled. Nothing will be sent until you finish and schedule it.
- Scheduled — has a send time set. Nabu publishes it automatically when that time arrives.
- Published — already sent to the channel(s) it targeted.
- Failed — Nabu tried to publish and the platform rejected it. See Troubleshooting.
What each platform supports
Not every platform supports the same post types or features. The composer only shows you options that are actually available for each channel you select:
| Platform | Post types | Location tag | Collaborators | First comment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feed, Reel, Story | Yes | Yes | Yes | |
| Page post, Reel | Yes | Yes | Yes | |
| TikTok | Video, Photo | No | No | No — not supported by TikTok's API |
| YouTube | Short, Video | Yes | No | Yes |
| Feed | No | No | No — requires a partnership LinkedIn hasn't approved yet |
A few platform-specific things worth knowing up front:
- TikTok posts currently land in the creator's TikTok inbox as a draft — you (or whoever owns the TikTok account) still need to open the TikTok app and tap Post to finish sending it. This is a temporary limitation while TikTok reviews Nabu for direct, automatic publishing. See Connecting Channels for more detail.
- LinkedIn currently only supports posting to a personal profile, not a Company Page. Company Page posting is pending a separate LinkedIn review.
