Growth Settings
What you can configure for Growth at your location, and why the list is short on purpose.
The philosophy behind this page
Growth ships with defaults chosen to work for a typical medical spa out of the box. Settings only exposes the handful of decisions that genuinely differ from one location to another: who work defaults to, how each workflow times out and who it goes to, and your location's email and communication identity. Everything else, safety limits, spam prevention, priority scoring, is handled internally so you're not asked to configure an automation platform just to get follow-ups working.
You'll find Growth Settings under Settings → Growth, organized into four sections.
General
- Enable Growth: turns task generation on or off for this location. Existing tasks stay visible even if you turn this off.
- Default task role: who a task goes to when a workflow doesn't specify something more specific.
- Manager role: the role used for escalation.
- Allow staff to claim tasks: lets individual staff members claim role-assigned tasks before working them.
Workflows
Each of the five workflows (see The Five Workflows) gets its own card showing whether it's enabled and a summary of its current settings. Opening a card lets you adjust:
- Whether it's enabled.
- How long to wait before the task is created (where that applies; no future booking uses the service's return interval instead).
- Which role it's assigned to.
- Which channel it recommends.
- Its execution mode (manual, review required, or automated).
- One workflow-specific option, like requiring review whenever a quote email mentions pricing, or how far ahead open-slot outreach should look.
This section holds your location's actual sending identity: the connected mailbox, the sender name and reply-to address shown on outgoing email, and whether sent messages save to your Sent Items. Until a real mailbox is connected, Growth won't send real email, and the interface makes that status clear rather than pretending a connection exists.
It also holds your signature, with a live preview that shows the body and signature together exactly as a client would see them, and a small set of generation defaults: tone, maximum length, subject line pattern, whether to include your provider's name, whether to include pricing, and whether a draft needs review before sending (with a separate toggle specifically for drafts that mention pricing).
Communication
SMS and phone don't route through Nabu the way email does. Instead, this section records what system your team actually uses for each (its name, whether it's just noted for reference or actually linked, and any instructions your team should follow), so tasks recommend the right channel without ever assuming a specific vendor.
What's never a setting
Some rules apply no matter what: respecting do-not-contact and consent, never letting two people claim the same task or contact the same client at once, pausing outreach once a client responds, never inventing prices or promises Nabu wasn't told about, and never giving anything resembling medical advice. These aren't toggles you can turn off, because they're not really configuration, they're the baseline Growth is built to guarantee for every client, every time.
